Today’s post is a creative throwback to our debut collection entitled “The Sovereignty of Shimmer” as presented in the official Athens Exclusive Designers’ Week on March ’12 for F/W 2013.
As it was our very first time on the catwalk as new designers, i have to admit we got really enthusiast about it.
The collection itself was a mixture of 80′s elements and of course loads of glam.
To start with, allow us to share with you the definition of the word “shimmer” that actually determined our creative mood.
SHIMMER
[shim-er]
verb:
1. to reflect light with a brilliant, sparkling luster;
2. to shine with strong emotion
3. to be brilliantly attractive, lavish, or spectacular;
4. to make a brilliant show
noun:
1. small pieces of light-reflecting decorative material
2. showy splendour
The collection was inspired by the dynamic modern woman, exuding glamour and spunk.
Elements from the 80′s era – our favorite fashion decade – strongly featured within the collection.
The collection’s garments embodied crystals, cheeky t-shirts, striking shoulder pads and a bold color palette merged with a variety of rich fabrics oozing with glitter.
The runway looks were completed with a variety of hand-made shoes by Nortin and jewellery pieces by De.bour,
both designed exclusively for the collection.
As “Mix ‘n match Masters” and “Glitter Addicts” the collection consisted of a full range of items
from day-to-evening wear, including embroidered leggings, cut-out bodies, playful t-shirts and glam jackets.
With emphasis on quality, style, coquettishness and glamour, “The Sovereignty of Shimmer” collection by e-outfit.com
catered to the fashion urges of the undaunted urban woman who values herself and her body.
